signature update

Signing your apps is a great way to ensure that only legit copies of your software are floating around on the internet. But what happens if you lose those signatures? Or worse, what if your app is updated but you don’t have the latest signature (企业签名)? Fear not! Here’s how to always keep up with the latest version of your applications, regardless of where they came from or who signed them.

How to get a Signature

In order to use the signature, you must first obtain it from your application. To do this, go to Settings > Developer options > Advanced features and turn on Android signature spoofing. After restarting your device and enabling this feature, you can now create your signature file by going into Settings > Developer options > Signature spoofing (and then using adb or terminal).

How to sign

Signing your applications is a free and easy process. It’s also a one-time process, so once you’ve signed your application it can be updated as many times as needed without having to sign it again.

-Signing protects your applications from malicious attacks that try to take control of them. An app signature gives users confidence that the application is safe, thus increasing their willingness to install it on their devices.

-Signing allows for companies like Google Play Store or Apple App Store (or Amazon or Microsoft) to ensure “I’m really who I say I am” when installing an application on your device. Without this assurance, they wouldn’t allow apps in their store because there would be no way of knowing whether they were legitimate or not—and even if they were legitimate copies of the original app, they’d still be pirated versions since there wouldn’t be any way for developers or publishers to track purchases made through these unauthorized channels.

How to verify a file signed by others

Open the file you want to verify.

Click File > Properties or right-click on the file and select Properties (or just press Ctrl+I). A box will open up with properties of your selected file, including a Digital Signatures tab at the bottom:

In this box, click on Details (if you don’t see it, click Options first), and then look for Signature validation criteria in the list:

This will open up a new window showing all the certificates that have been used to validate this file. If you see one that says Microsoft Corporation, then you know the file has been signed by Microsoft—this is what we want!

How to update your applications with new versions

Download the latest version of the application from Google Play and install it. Run your app, then go to Settings > About and tap on the signature line. If you have a signature that is valid, you’ll see an “Update Signature” button appear at the bottom of the screen. Tap this button, which will bring you back to your previous screen where you can re-verify your signature again using your finger or pen.

Tap the “Signature Verified” button at the bottom of the screen when your signature is verified. This will bring you back to your previous screen where you can re-verify your signature again using your finger or pen.
